Snowskate? New Park Opens at Northstar
Imagine crossing a snowboard with a skateboard. The result would be a snowskate, and in keeping with the company value to innovation, Northstar-at-Tahoe has just opened a snowskate park. This is just the beginning of the snowskate revolution. Just watch.
Located at mid-mountain next to the halfpipe, the snowskate park features an assortment of slides and jibs like picnic tables, benches and rails.
"This park is filled with a complete assortment of sliding features", said Andrew Miller, Northstar's freestyle terrain park supervisor. "It's legit".
Snowskate rentals are available for $10 for the whole day and $5 for the half day. Access to the park is free if you have a lift ticket or you can buy a gondola pass for $10. Kids under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a release form.
