Cold as Ice
Stardust Jacket
Aspen,
from Kennebunk, Maine, caught our attention as a tester. Enthusiastic, Aspen loves
to ski. Her name, Aspen, even hails from one of the greatest ski resorts in the
world. Here’s what seven year old Aspen had to say about the Stardust jacket (with
help from her mom):
Functionality
of Product: The Stardust jacket is very functional, warm, and comfortable.
It has great zippers and the key chain clip was ideal for mittens and lift tickets.
Aspen would like to see a higher color to keep her face warm and more fleece in
the lining, especially the arms. It gets cold in the East!
How
is it made? Good quality, good stain resistance too! I haven’t had
to wash it, like I usually do with her jackets. The jacket has stood up very well
with lots of use. It has excellent stitching. It certainly would last another
season, if only Aspen weren’t growing so fast.
Where
did you use it? We ski every weekend. This is Aspen’s ski jacket so
she wears it everywhere. We have been to about 10 different ski resorts in New
England and Eastern Canada wit this jacket, in all different weather from below
0 to sunny, to freezing rain, and high winds. Many people noticed the jacket,
noting how “cute” Aspen
is. Her Gen X snowboarding uncle thought it was “cool”.
Cool
factor: At first Aspen did not like the color Kelly Green at all and
said she wouldn’t wear it. As parents we made her try it a fe times. Then people
started to comment on her “cuteness” and now she wears the jacket without any
prompting. She admits she likes it. The design is cool, but the green is not my
favorite. It would be very cool in blue. I would definitely buy it in blue. The
styling is very nice with a “feminine cut”, even though the style is coll and
snowboardish. Aspen liked that! Aspen also like the logo inside the jacket, “Little
girls that go big….”
