Little Bear Snowshoes
Little
Bear is our snowshoe partner for this season. We are outfitting kids across the
country and expect some great reviews. For now here's a preview of the Little
Bear Snowshoe product.
Little Bear Cubs and Grizzlies
are designed specifically for kids; they are not just small versions of adult
snowshoes. The bindings are simple enough for children to operate, they fit virtually
any boot and they don't fall off. There are no sharp metal crampons that could
cause injury. Children can run jump, climb hills, and just be kids. Little Bear
says that Cubs and Grizzlies have a "zero whine factor". We will have to see about
that.
Families and children represent
the core of Little Bear's business. As the award winning leader in children's
snowshoes, they are committed to producing safe, durable and highly functional
products. Little Bears are the only children's snowshoes to fully comply with
U.S. Consumer Product Safety Standards for children's products (per Little Bear).
They have also been awarded the National Parenting Center's Seal of Approval and
Dr. Toy's 100 Best Products award.
Little Bear may be the only
snowshoe company with five-year-olds on their research and development staff!
Little Bear offers four models of children's snowshoes in six different bright
colors, the largest selection in the industry. Little Bear does not dabble in
the children and family market. It is their core
business
and they are very serious about it. The products are all made in the United States
and backed by a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
For the 2000 season Little
Bear Cubs and Grizzlies will sport polycarbonate decks in semi translucent colors.
The pricing of the Cubs are a suggested retail of $39 and the Grizzly $49. Functionality
is the key to fun on the snow. Cubs and Grizzlies are designed for ease of use
and offer enough traction for the steepest hills.
