Tail Wags helmet covers are carefully designed with a slit at the back to allow the wearer to access the helmet’s goggle clip. Helmet covers are made from top quality fabrics and are resistant to color fading and tearing, and are sturdy enough to be worn under all kinds of conditions.

Tail Wags is the creation of Karyn Climans, a Toronto-based mother of two who started the business in her basement in 2006. A former costume-designer for her sons’ school productions, Climans started creating animal helmet covers for two reasons. First and foremost, she is passionate about helmet safety following a skiing accident in which a ski helmet saved her life. “If Tail Wags Helmet Covers can persuade more children and adults to actually wear their safety helmets, then my company has been successful” writes Climans. Secondly, Climans was looking for a way to turn an ordinary safety helmet into a fashion statement! The decision to launch Tail Wags Helmet Covers was cemented when friends encouraged her to market her creations.

Tail Wags promotes fun combined with safety by creating eye-catching helmet covers that encourage kids and adults to want to wear their helmets while participating in sporting activities. In 2008, the Canada Safety Council reported, "Up to 85 percent of serious head injuries could be prevented by wearing a helmet”. “Parents know the importance of children wearing helmets while skiing, snowboarding, skating, tobogganing, biking and equestrian riding. However, they are often faced with the difficult task of getting their kids to actually wear their helmets. Tail Wags provides a fun solution that can be enjoyed by the entire family."
