TIP: Use the Drop Off / Loading Area
By Greg Hoff
Use the drop off area at ski resorts.
Pull right up in front. One parent hauls the skis to racks near ski school or another central location while the other parent and the kids take the boots and bag of mittens, extra clothes, etc. to the lodge or locker area.
Assign duties prior to arriving at the resort to avoid confusion.
One parent parks the car and walks back with their boots and other parent's boots while the other parent gets the kids ready for skiing.
Meet at a prearranged location (lodge, ski location, ski school meeting place, etc.).
This works really well if you have made reservations for the kids' lessons the day before and already have equipment.
Not familiar with the area? Call the ski school and ask about drop off areas. Many resorts have a special parking or loading area for children's ski school participants.
