RIPPIN' RIDER REVIEW:
FERA DOWNTOWN PARKA & BRITNEY PANT
New for 04/05, this striking outfit is both functional and fashionable. The Downtown Parka is an incredibly warm and comfy down-insulated jacket, solid-colored and trimmed with removable faux fur. It features a hidden stowaway hood under the collar, 2 flannel-lined handwarmer pockets, and an inside powder skirt. This makes the jacket perfect for both school/urban use as well as snow sport use.
The Britney Pant is quickly becoming a bestseller thanks to its contemporary low-rise, flared fit and jean-style design. Aside from just looking good, the Britney offers the comfort of Fera's proprietary stretch insulation, made famous by Fera's adult pants. This unique insulation is both flat and stretchy, resulting in a slimmer look and greater mobility for the wearer.
We had our Rippin' Riders test this ensemble. Both Nina and Hailey loved the baby blue down jacket with its faux fur. Nina said, "It's so so warm! I can play all day in the snow without getting cold!"
Moms love the fusion of function and fashion. "My daughter can wear this to school, with a dress or on the slopes. I like that the faux fur is removable, it gives the jacket a different look day or night."
The pants, while functional, don't easily fit all shapes and sizes of girls. With a fixed waist band, parents had trouble fitting slim girls. The low rise look did work well on older girls and certainly earned points on the fashion side.
Look for Fera on fashion runways as well as on the slopes this season.
